Strep Throat sucks

I guess it's the universe telling me to behave for a week. :)

This has been quite the experience. My glands were so swollen that I could not touch my own neck nor swallow. I made a crazy face with each gulp attempt.

The funny thing is I'm so blunt with describing my symptoms and my rationale for them initially, I make my nurse assistants/techs blush. LOL.

I'm on antibiotics now and hope to be eating solids in the next day or so. :)

Next week, watch out SF!!! It's time to misbehave and play!!!

Did you know where February went?

Between the new job and flying to Houston for a quick family business trip, February flew by. Happy Birthday to both Mom and Dad.

I'm loving my time in SF with my roomies and other friends. We had a drag night, Xbox 360 game nights and I even had a zombie scavenger hunt night. Thanks to a big aquatic site, I'm having a few other interesting adventures as well. Not adventurous my ass!!!

My fellow travelers at work have been hilarious. We are a rare breed I do believe. I've gotten my med surg floor experience by working at this Kaiser and thanks but no thanks. I do the happy dance when I see my name on the ICU list from staffing. I'll take the psycho, drunks in isolation just to be in the ICU. Yeah, that's how bad I dislike floor nursing.

I'm looking forward to the next months as SF weather improves and I can do some hiking and wine tasting.
