Mama Shay does San Diego

"Oh my Lawd, dis is gawgeous!!!" My mother yells out as we look over the landscaped view of San Diego from Mount Soledad.

Her fun filled days were of the drag show at Lips Theater! A little fun time with a few Mai Tais at Fiesta Cantina and Mr. Kenny!!! I can't believe I drunk deleted that photo. Mama loves her some chocolate!!! Then we hit Pacific Beach and La Jolla Cove. Mom enjoyed herself at Temecula's Wilson Creek Winery. And of course, the big event was Mom's tattoo!!! Yes, my ## year old mother got herself a beautiful tat! She rocks!!!

Thanks Mama for visiting me and letting your hair, no matter how short, down and blowing in the sea breeze!

Birthday weekend

I didn't get a chance to go to Cabo since my friends decided to save cash. The alternative plan was fun times in Pacific Beach. Oh my oh my, what fun was had!!!

We hit a Brazilian steakhouse downtown San Diego, Rei do Gado. So good! Then of course there was a bit of Whiskey Girl fun! Next day it was a lil of Open Bar where I walked around taking pics of all the young prospects, and then SALSA!!!! Can a girl be happier!!

Key phrase for the day at the fair..."Bitch please!" I love it! A day spent with a bunch of my Hilcrest friends. (For my Houstonians...Hilcrest is our Montrose) No, really, I was the only straight person in the group. I laughed so hard that day. I love my friends, new and old.

Happy Memorial Day

A big shout out to all my friends that are serving our wonderful country! A big THANK YOU to you!

My sweet Meredith came out to see me this weekend. It was a quickie, but a good one. Like they usually are! A little sushi, pedicure, beach time, Hilcrest partying and salsa dancing made the weekend. I can always count on my MC to hook me up. Of course a little play time with Kelly & Brooklyn hooked both of us up! Thank you boys for the spinning room! ;) Ryan & Josh entertained us with some good Chinese food. Oh, and I got to experience the lost wallet feeling! Fun times!!






I miss my Meredith already! At least she is only 6 hours away. Come back and play MC!!!

I'm gonna miss my Andrea

Andrea, why must you leave so soon? Hopefully our travel nursing jobs will bring us close again. Hawaii??? Hmmm.

I went to Agoura Hills for a 'see ya soon' weekend with my girl. We met at a meetup group in San Diego so it was so great that we had a meetup event to attend. This time it was horseback riding. I haven't been on a horse/pony/4 legged animal since I rode Katie's horse and it took off in a farting trot! I laughed my ass off then but I wouldn't call it an experienced ride. ;) I was impressed though, I can handle Poco pretty well in a nice trot. A lot can be said when you have a good core and body knowledge. Yeah for yoga!!! I did have to trek around to find the helper to adjust my saddle so for a couple of pics I look kind of crunched! We had a good time and ate some decent Mexican food. Like such energetic ladies that we are, we crashed when we got back from Glendale. I blame it on the previous night of wine and shots. :) Rumblemint shots are just mouthwash regardless of what anyone says!
The wine tasting at Sip was great. I met some nice ladies, some nurses, some teachers and had a great evening. Best of luck to Nikki, a traveling nurse, who is getting married and moving to Chicago. We had fun times and carried on the party at Padri Bar. The crowd was so diverse of age I could help but laugh to see the old guy thrusting to Rihanna and Lady Gaga! Ha! I love people. Andrea's housemates are quite the entertaining couple. She, an ex model, and he a huge fan of Michael Jackson. They are such nice people that had me laughing so hard!








It was a fantastic weekend! Thanks Andrea. Enjoy your last 3 days of work and have a safe trip back to Minnesota.

Southwest Spirit!

Thanks to Bill for letting me be a part of Southwest Airlines Spirit Party. SW rented out Fremont St and provided us with free beer and food! Fun times! I met some amazing people and had some good times. A bonus was being able to hang with my brother and his family. I miss those kiddies!! Oh, and I bought me some Sketchers Shape Ups. Now I'm really rockin n a rollin!!! :)
